This season we had the pleasure of working with the amazingly talented shoe designer ARUNA SETH. Her show stopping designs hit the New York runway paired with innovative designs from bridal designer ANNE BOWEN at the Gansevort Park Hotel this October.
Known for her luxurious line of handcrafted shoes, ARUNA SETH has quickly become a favorite of celebrities and brides alike. Her celebrity clients include Sophia Bush, Paris Hilton, Goldie Hawn, Jeannie Mai, Krisin Guerro, Pippa Middleton, Carly Steel among others. Each shoe is handcrafted in Nothern Italy with the utmost attention to detail. Each shoe is adorned with exquisite materials like Swarowski crystals and Chantilly lace. Her signature crystal Farfalla butterfly shoes have quickly become iconic in the fashion and bridal worlds.
“My desire, as long as I can remember has been to make the most beautiful, luxurious shoes in the world.” – Aruna Seth
We also were able to view the entire collection during bridal market at a beautiful suite at the London Hotel in New York. In addition, we heard that the Aruna Seth camp is headed to LA in preparation for upcoming awards season. We wish them all the best in LA-LA land.

Who could not fall in love with the city of New Orleans with its rich and colorful history, live jazz music, decadently delicious food, and historic French Quarter? ANNE BOWEN could not wait to dress some of its most stylish residents. ANNE BOWEN takes her first steps in the BIG EASY with a special event at the always fashionable Mimi’s on Magazine Street.

On Thursday September 8th, designer Anne Bowen will debut the BOWEN COLLECTION at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center during New York Fashion Week. The BOWEN COLLECTION takes its inspiration from the vision of a global futuristic nomad. “By designing under the BOWEN label, I feel we can push our creative boundaries and transcend the limits of our culture with more freedom,” says Bowen. Our culture has forever changed, and we are now truly a global economy in which individuals are more globally connected than ever before. As such, this new collection will provide a way of dressing that incorporates elements of the future while referencing the heritage of many cultures thus fusing an elegant nature with rough textures and unexpected finishes.
Textured hand-dyed silk chiffons, chevron patterns woven into textiles and embroideries, light weight woolens, laser Byzantine mosaic cutouts on suede and distressed silk charmeuse are all featured in this collection. Silhouettes with low backs, fitted skirts, and body caressing dresses which look effortless to wear create Bowen’s vision of the global nomadic woman.
Bowen explains that “by personally draping the garments, I feel more of what I want to say comes through in the final product.” Embellishments including tarnished metal sequins, crystals, and embroidery are used to create a multicultural design. The BOWEN COLLECTION juxtaposes elements of ancient cultures with the futuristic vision of tomorrow.
