Cartier nailed it!
(pardon the pun, it was just too easy!)
As you all may know, I love my hardware. I found the quintessential Item of Desire, the “Just a Nail” ring from the rebellious natured Juste UN Clou Collection. As a designer, I was immediately fascinated by Cartier’s genius recreation of a simple tool box nail! My absolute favorite version is the white gold with diamonds. The bent hardware ranges from $2,200-$36,000 and is definitely a must-have on my list.
We are thrilled to announce a special showing of the ANNE BOWEN BRIDAL COLLECTION at WHITE Toronto on March 12-13.

For the past few seasons, we have been fortunate to collaborate with fabulous shoe designer Vanessa Noel on our bridal runway presentations. Her flawless designs are always the perfect complement to any bridal gown. Many shoe obsessed brides will be delighted to learn that her adorable but sexy designs are not limited to bridal. Every member of our entire staff has drooled over the stretch alligator boots worn by Kim Cattrall in the “Sex in the City” movie.
Vanessa Noel launched her company nearly 22 years ago. The collections are handmade in Italy producing limited editions of each style. Vanessa is notorious for incorporating sumptuous fabrics, furs and exotic skins such as chinchilla, sable, python, lizard and alligator.
Her celebrated stilettos adorn Hollywood’s hottest feet including Oprah Winfrey, Halle Berry, Mariah Carey, Patti LaBelle, famed footwear fetishist Sarah Jessica Parker and others.

Let’s face it. There are very few new ideas in the bridal industry. So when we hear about something new and truly innovative, we cannot wait to share it with the rest of the world. One of our favorites is the gift registry created by nAscent Art New York called ArtWish(tm).
Upstart art consultancy nAscent Art New York is bringing romance into the 21st century with ArtWish, “the world’s first art gift registry.” The programme works like a normal gift registry, except instead of buying a butter dish or gravy boat, the happy couple invites friends and family to chip in to purchase a work of art chosen. For the newlyweds, a work of fine art represents the creation of a life of love together. Couples can even work with nAscent to commission a custom artwork or portrait.
nAscent Art represents 50 of New York’s finest emerging artists, selected from over 10,000. Led by newlyweds James and Jennifer Wallace and based in New York City, nAscent also offers a rotating art rental service and gift certificates.
Visit nAscent’s website at www.nascentartny.com or call them at 347.838.3686. The art is beautiful, and a perfect complement to celebrate a couple’s love.

As the Times Square ball dropped on New Years Eve, we counted down to a new exciting year at ANNE BOWEN BRIDAL that will start off with a round of trunk shows featuring the new ART OF PASSION collection.
We are so thrilled about all of our upcoming trunk shows and are pleased to say that we have added some new fabulous stores for 2010. Ever After in Miami, Casa de Novia in Houston, Saks Fifth Avenue in New York and Los Angeles and Neiman Marcus in Dallas are among the list of newcomers to the roster.
Our first trunk show of the season will debut the ANNE BOWEN BRIDAL COLLECTION at the EVER AFTER salon in Miami. Since opening, EVER AFTER has established itself as a burgeoning pioneer in the bridal industry. In the salon, the dresses are encased in glass and illuminated like works of art. (Rumor has it that they even carry custom Christian Louboutin bridal shoes.)
Designer Anne Bowen creates spirited, sexy and modern collections. As a luxury brand, her designs reflect on the inner confidence and individuality of women everywhere. Anne Bowen began designing at a very young age. Inspired by her mother's taste for menswear, she experimented with rich colors, textures and draping. Her designs possess simplicity in silhouette with an exquisite structure and are often adorned with semi-precious and precious stones.
Anne Bowen premiered her bridal collection during New York’s illustrious Bridal Fashion Week at The Plaza Hotel. Known for her stylized evening wear, Anne introduced her distinguished, red carpet design philosophy to the bridal market. Architectural fused with simplicity, fresh and non-traditional, the gowns stay true to the Anne Bowen aesthetic. The collection offers a no-frills drama, atypical of bridal designs to-date.
